Definitions:

Total Inpatient Days is the sum of each daily inpatient census for the time period examined. For e.g., if the time period examined ia taken as a week, and the daily inpatient cesnsus was as follows: Day 1 = 30, Day 2 = 28, Day 3 = 26, Day 4 = 35, Day 5 = 35 Day 6 = 25, Day 7 = 25, Then the Total Inpatient Days of care for one week would be 30+28+26+35+35+25+25
